“The creative personality is always one that looks on the world as fit for change and on himself as an instrument for change. Otherwise, what are you creating for? If the world is perfectly all right the way it is, you have no place in it. The creative personality thinks of the world as a canvas for change and of himself as a divine agent of change.”
—Jacob Bronowski
“The only time you run out of chances is when you stop taking them.”

“There is no such thing as the perfect soul mate. If you meet someone and you think they’re perfect, you better run as fast as you can in the other direction, ‘cause your soul mate is the person that pushes your buttons, pisses you off on a regular basis, and makes you face your shit.”
—Madonna
“I understand feeling as small and as insignificant as humanly possible. And how it can actually ache in places you didn’t know you had inside you. And it doesn’t matter how many new haircuts you get, or gyms you join, or how many glasses of chardonnay you drink with your girlfriends… you still go to bed every night going over every detail and wonder what you did wrong or how you could have misunderstood. And how in the hell for that brief moment you could think that you were that happy. And sometimes you can even convince yourself that he’ll see the light and show up at your door. And after all that, however long all that may be, you’ll go somewhere new. And you’ll meet people who make you feel worthwhile again. And little pieces of your soul will finally come back. And all that fuzzy stuff, those years of your life that you wasted, that will eventually begin to fade.”
—Iris (The Holiday)
“It’s not that I’m rebelling. It’s that I’m just trying to find another way.”
—Edie Sedgwick
Do things happen for a reason ?
Or do we make things happen ?
I personally think things happen for a reason, BUT we also do make things happen. It depends on the person.

“Sometimes our fate resembles a fruit tree in winter. Who would think that those branches would turn green again and blossom, but we hope it, we know it.”
